Job Title: Area Manager Sales – Commercial Vehicle
Location: Karnataka, India
Job Summary:
The Area Manager Sales – Commercial Vehicle will be responsible for driving sales and achieving revenue targets for the commercial vehicle segment in Karnataka. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing a sales team, and building strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives and sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets, and monitor performance against targets.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals.
- Set individual and team performance goals, and regularly review performance.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and performance.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, and other stakeholders.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
- Manage pricing, contracts, and negotiations with clients.
- Monitor sales metrics and KPIs, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Market Development:
- Identify and develop new market segments and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional activities and campaigns.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and network with potential clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience in sales and sales management, preferably in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Strong understanding of the commercial vehicle market in Karnataka.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
