Associate Creative Director
Join our accomplished and growing team of exceptional marketers and ignite a rewarding career! Sparks has locations in London and Waterloo Ontario and we are seeking a talented and driven individual to lead our Creative team!
As an Associate Creative Director at Sparks, you will help drive the creative vision and execution of high-impact marketing and experiential campaigns for our diverse clientele. You will collaborate closely with our creative and account teams to conceptualize and develop innovative strategies that align with client goals, ensuring all deliverables meet our high standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will lead brainstorming sessions, mentor the creative team, present concepts to clients, and, most importantly, won’t be afraid to get their hands dirty. They will have a strong background in creative direction, an eye for great design, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering compelling creative solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s creative vision across all marketing channels, including digital, print, web, brand, video and events.
- Evaluate and assess industry trends to ensure we consistently adopt an innovative approach to our client solutions and produce competitive and relevant creative work.
- Be Sparks’ internal brand steward, ensuring we bring consistency across all of our own marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with all teams across the agency to develop cohesive brand strategies for our clients and internally.
- Contribute to the management of all aspects of the creative process including the creation of timelines, budgets and resource allocation/tasking.
- Work with the New Business and Account Management teams to identify areas of opportunity within current client relationships as well as prospective client relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7-10 years of experience in an agency setting within a design and marketing role and in a senior position within the creative team.
- College or University-level education in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to manage and inspire a team of creatives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills while working across multiple departments within the agency.
- Proven ability to present/pitch to a room full of prospective or current clients and articulate the rationale behind our creative strategy.
- Ability to project manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven track record in leading and executing successful marketing campaigns across Brand, Web, Digital, Video and Events.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative suite and other design softwares.
- Experience and knowledge with experiential marketing or event creative concepting.
- Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and accessibility design compliance.
- Knowledge of web development tools is an asset.
- Knowledge of videography, video editing and 3D design/animation is an asset.
- Knowledge of creative copywriting is an asset.
