Healthy North Coast (HNC) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation committed to improving the health of our North Coast communities through quality primary health care. We proudly deliver the Primary Health Network (PHN) Program across the stunning north coast region from Tweed Heads to Port Macquarie across Githabul, Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Birpai and Yaegl lands. - improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for people, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes
- improve the coordination of health services and increasing access and quality support for people

About the Role
In this role, you will drive innovative and ambitious initiatives that improve health and wellbeing outcomes for North Coast communities. You will provide operational and strategic leadership in the development, strengthening and maintenance of HNC’s presence in community and with providersÂ
The Associate Director oversees a number of projects and commissioning activities including procurement, contracting and reporting milestones with support from the Portfolio Management Office. They are a senior leader within HNC demonstrating integrity, empathy, and enthusiasm with strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
About youÂ
We are seeking an exceptional candidate with the following qualifications and qualities:
- Demonstrated critical thinking, thought leadership and ability to influence across functional areas
- Skills in commissioning including managing needs assessment, regional planning, co-design, procurement, contracting and evaluation processes
- Experience in delivering social impact programs or partnering for social change from inception to delivery demonstrating outcomes
- Strong communication skills that bring internal and external audiences ‘on the journey’ and build engagement and buy-in for our vision
- Strong engagement and people leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, support and coach people to achieve success
- Ability to champion organisational vision and strategy through supporting the development and implementation of operational plans
- A strong commitment to principles such as Work Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, Cultural Safety, and Continuous Improvement, ensuring a workplace that aligns with these values
- Relevant post graduate qualification and/or at least 10 years of senior management experiencein some combination of business development, partnership management, community development, marketing & communications, policy or social impact, consulting
