Position Description
Passionate about or experienced in energy efficiency.
As an Associate Marketing Manager, you will collaborate closely with Marketing Managers to develop marketing strategies and execute tactics for our utility clients. This role involves building strong internal and external client relationships, managing project timelines and deliverables, consulting on strategic direction, and providing actionable recommendations. You will also contribute to a results-oriented framework for marketing plans and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop client-specific marketing strategies that align with program goals and objectives.
Create project briefs for all creative projects to ensure clear communication on project goals and streamline development.
Work alongside the Senior Marketing Project Manager to manage new project intakes, timelines, and updates.
Utilize project management software to oversee project timelines and deliverables.
Partner with other marketing team members, including copywriters, designers, learning experience designers, and web developers, to develop strategies.
Gain a deep understanding of program goals, ensuring marketing strategies are aligned for success.
Assist the Marketing Manager in understanding and managing budgets.
Coordinate technical and background information from program teams to ensure accurate project development.
Review creative projects to ensure client brand standards and needs are met, coordinating reviews with internal and external clients.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients, including timely email responses, agenda development, note-taking, and leading meetings when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Computer Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Familiarity with Adobe software, Zoom, and project management software is a plus but not required.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
Proactive, resourceful, and motivated, with strong communication skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Proven Customer Service Skills And Excellent Communication Abilities.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills, effective time management, and a focus on goals.
Strong attention to detail with a solid understanding of processes, numbers, and calculations.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in utility incentive programs.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Critical thinking skills and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor’s degree (or significant coursework completed) in marketing or a related field.
Experience in the energy conservation industry or utility incentive programs is preferred.
Three to five years of marketing experience, including project management, plan development, and client relationship management.
Experience managing multiple clients and programs across various locations.
Previous experience in a virtual work environment is desirable but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer for data entry and proficient typing.
Engage in telephone or video conference calls for extended durations.
Clear communication abilities, both spoken and heard, to facilitate accurate interactions.
Participation in regular on-camera meetings and conferences is required.

Other Requirements
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup for client-facing virtual meetings are necessary. A dependable phone is also required.
We provide a computer (with necessary programs), two monitors, a monitor stand, speakers, a webcam, a docking station, wireless keyboard and mouse, and a surge suppressor.
This is a fully remote telecommuting position, offering flexibility aligned with meeting responsibilities. Some evening, early morning, and weekend meetings and events may be required.
A valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and verifiable insurance are required.
Candidates must be located in the Intermountain Southwest or Pacific Northwest regions.
