    About the role:

    Reporting to the Deputy Provost, as Associate Professor, Computer Science, you’ll be instrumental in building our capability in the discipline, by providing academic leadership in research, teaching and engagement in computer science, software engineering, information technology, and/or data science.

    In addition to driving the development of offerings in computer and data science, you’ll lead a teaching team, contribute to the university’s strategic initiative of growing Computer Science talent, while having the opportunity to build significant industry and international networks to advance ACU’s reputation.

    Key to your success will be in your ability to demonstrate exceptional delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, an outstanding and sustained research profile through publications, collaborative grant applications and partnerships; coupled with a strong track record of initiating collaborations with researchers, industry and community groups to undertake high impact research.

    What we offer:

    • The University pursues an excellence agenda and offers an environment where staff are welcomed and safe, and valued through development, participation and involvement.
    • Total remuneration valued to $191,064 – $210,313 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $161,830 – $178,282 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level D), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. A 3% salary increase will be effective from the beginning of the first full pay period commencing on or after 1st January 2025.
    • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
    • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks’ salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
