Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist with deep expertise in Zapier to streamline and optimize automation workflows.. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency across various platforms, including Klaviyo, Shopify, ManyChat, Stay.ai, and Postscript. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building complex automations, managing data integrations, and troubleshooting errors using Zapier. This position will collaborate closely with our Data Engineers to ensure seamless data integration into our Dayton data warehouse for comprehensive reporting and analysis in Tableau.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Automation Design & Development

  • Design, build, and manage advanced automations using Zapier, connecting tools such as CRM systems, marketing platforms, and customer support tools.
  • Develop multi-step workflows to automate manual processes, enhancing efficiency across marketing, customer service, and e-commerce functions.
  • Work with the Data Engineer to ensure accurate data syncs with the Dayton data warehouse for analysis in Tableau.

Tool Integration

  • Integrate Zapier with platforms like Klaviyo, Shopify, ManyChat, Stay.ai, Postscript, and Gorgias, ensuring seamless data flow and communication across systems.
  • Design automations to collect and sync data into the Dayton data warehouse for effective reporting and analysis.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Continuously monitor the performance of automations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Implement error-handling processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise, maintaining detailed logs of automation performance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for further optimization of workflows.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to prioritize automation tasks and align them with business goals.
  • Work with the Marketing, Customer Service, and Data teams to identify and automate manual processes.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status and performance improvements of automations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about the latest features and updates in Zapier and related automation platforms to continuously improve workflows and efficiency.
  • Conduct A/B testing on automations to optimize workflows for maximum effectiveness.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in designing, building, and optimizing workflows with Zapier.
  • Proven experience with multi-step automations and robust error-handling processes.
  • Experience integrating Zapier with platforms like Klaviyo, Shopify, ManyChat, Stay.ai, Postscript, and Gorgias.
  • Technical proficiency in APIs, webhooks, and data integrations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of optimizing workflow efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach to learning new technologies and implementing them effectively.
