We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Cloud Data Engineer with substantial experience in cloud-based big data solutions to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with advanced technologies and contribute significantly to the design and refinement of cloud data architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize cloud data solutions by utilizing big data storage, processing, and ETL/ELT tools such as S3, AWS Glue, and Apache Spark.
- Develop comprehensive data models at both conceptual and logical levels, effectively translating them into efficient physical data structures including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Harness your extensive knowledge of Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and various AWS data management tools to bolster data-driven applications.
- Ensure seamless data ingestion and processing across both SQL and NoSQL data structures.
- Collaborate within an agile development team to contribute to the software development lifecycle, encompassing planning, design, and implementation of new features in cloud settings.
- Analyze business requirements and recommend scalable solutions optimized for the AWS environment.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain high-performance cloud applications, emphasizing best practices within the AWS ecosystem.
- Engage with on-site teams to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely project delivery through effective communication.
- Apply agile methodologies to guarantee quality and efficient project timelines.
Required Skills
- At least 5 years of experience working with cloud-based big data technologies, including S3, AWS Glue, and Apache Spark.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in SQL and NoSQL data structures, along with expertise in data processing and integration.
- 3+ years of software development experience as part of an agile team, including coding, testing, and deploying cloud-based applications.
- Strong practical experience with Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and related AWS tools, complemented by a solid understanding of AWS architecture and best practices.
- Proficiency in Oracle database and PL/SQL for efficient data manipulation and query optimization.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, particularly Informatica, for integrating data from multiple sources into AWS-based solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
