Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Back-End Developer with strong expertise in Django and Python to develop and maintain the back-end of our platform. You will work closely with our Front-End Developers to ensure seamless integration and help shape the platform’s backend architecture. In addition to building API endpoints and managing databases, you’ll also play a key role in conducting code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating across teams, and driving technical solutions.

Location: Remote (National Capital Region, Philippines)

Type: Full-Time (5 days, 40 hours per week) This position is available for immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure back-end systems using Django and Python.
• Implement and manage database interactions, including PostgreSQL migrations, queries, and optimizations.
• Design and implement RESTful API endpoints using Django REST Framework to support front-end functionalities.
• Collaborate with Front-End Developers to integrate dynamic user-facing features with server-side logic.
• Lead code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices across the codebase.
• Deploy and manage the application using Docker, ensuring smooth and consistent development and production workflows.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and scalability across the platform’s backend services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve the backend infrastructure for performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3-5 years of back-end development experience, with a focus on Django and Python. Experience with Django REST Framework is a plus.
• Strong experience working with PostgreSQL for relational database management and optimization.
• Familiarity with Docker for containerized deployments and development environments.
• Proven experience in conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality and maintainability.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Technologies

• Django: Expertise in building robust back-end applications with Django.
• Python 3.11+: Proficiency in Python, particularly for backend logic and data processing.
• PostgreSQL: Experience with PostgreSQL for designing, managing, and optimizing relational databases.
• Docker: Familiarity with deploying and managing applications in containerized environments.
