Back End Developer (Remote)

Gyga Force is hiring a Backend Engineer for a client based in Austin, TX. This role involves building and maintaining robust, scalable backend systems to support web and mobile applications. While the position is located in Austin, remote work is available for highly qualified candidates who excel in a collaborative virtual environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs to support various applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of services.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability to handle increasing workloads.
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with data security standards.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain system stability and minimize downtime.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and backend frameworks to enhance system capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in backend development using programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
• Proficiency in building and optimizing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of database systems, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including serverless and containerized solutions.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, whether on-site or remote.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Familiarity with GraphQL and real-time messaging systems (e.g., WebSockets, Kafka).
• Experience with DevOps tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of distributed systems and their challenges in scalability and fault tolerance.
• Hands-on experience with API gateways, load balancing, and caching strategies.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio showcasing innovative backend solutions.
