Backend Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

Your Role

As a Backend/Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll be integral in:

• Leading the development of a robust, scalable backend system using Go (Golang) and AWS.
• Collaborating with the Product and Engineering Team to design and build APIs, business logic and third-party integrations to support a React frontend.
• Owning the integration of our existing database into the new tech stack.
• Building a high-performing team around you as we grow, with a clear path to leadership.
• Supporting the transition from a no-code MVP to a scalable, maintainable platform.
• Innovating on features and driving excellence beyond the initial migration project.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Create and optimize APIs to support frontend and mobile applications.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions to build a cutting-edge tech stack.
• Contribute to building the development pipeline in partnership with the DevOps engineer.
• Champion code quality and best practices while mentoring junior developers as the team expands.
• Support the creation of new features post-launch, helping us build a world-class application.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Go (or another backend language with a willingness to learn Go).
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Proficiency in designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Comfortable with relational databases and query optimization.
• A passion for solving challenging technical problems and building scalable solutions.
• Leadership qualities and the desire to mentor others as we grow.
