Business Analyst (Remote)

Flexcar is looking for a Business Data Analyst to join our Analytics team. You will partner with leadership and teams across the business—from finance to marketing to operations—to help unpack ambiguous problems and drive better company decision-making. Your work will directly evolve how Flexcar operates and measures itself. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, is talented at turning data into actionable insights, and can work effectively with stakeholders across the company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced data analysis and statistical modeling to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to measure feature impact and guide product iterations. Leverage causal methods when traditional randomized trials aren’t available.
• Build sophisticated reporting and analytical tools that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
• Design and build metrics/dimensions to monitor product and business performance.
• Assist in generating regular & automated reports, analyzing data across geographies, customer segments, and vehicle types
• Validate and integrate third-party transaction data into Flexcar’s systems
• Conduct regular data audits to identify discrepancies and implement timely corrective actions.
• Partner with data and analytics engineers to ensure seamless integration of data and optimal business case usability

Qualifications

• Quantitative undergraduate or advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field.
• Robust business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
• 6+ years of experience in a business analyst, consulting, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL queries and Python, R, or similar.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization/presentation.
• Expertise at both defining the right metrics as well as diagnosing and understanding data inconsistencies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to executives.
