Business Analyst With School Finance Modernization Focus (Remote)

We invite applications for the position of Business Analyst to join our esteemed School Finance division, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing a range of system modernization initiatives. You will be primarily engaged in the County Auditor Data Reporting Submissions (CARDS) project, while also contributing to other modernization projects as opportunities arise. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team and significantly influence the future of system modernization in the realm of School Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and document essential business and technical requirements from internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate effectively with developers to oversee project task backlogs, ensuring timely completion of assignments.
• Establish and uphold a structured Scrum team framework to facilitate project delivery.
• Conduct gap analysis in cooperation with business leaders to formulate a strategic roadmap for modernization efforts.
• Lead team meetings to monitor project progress, confirming that work adheres to scheduled timelines and defined scope.
• Supervise project deliverables, ensuring they conform to quality standards and are completed punctually.

Required Skills

• Proficient in gathering and articulating both business and technical requirements.
• Experience managing project backlogs and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Strong understanding of Scrum methodologies and team dynamics.
• Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to lead discussions among diverse stakeholders.
• Proven aptitude for guiding projects from conception to successful completion.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Business Analyst capacity.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for three years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree for two years, or an Associate’s degree for one year.
• Experience in at least two (2) projects lasting more than six (6) months in a Business Analyst role.
• Experience in at least two (2) projects lasting more than six (6) months in a Project Manager role.
