Job Description

  • Looking for a Business Development Leader for their go-to-market sectors in EdTech, FinTech, HealthTech and Digital Media as their core 4 service sectors.

The Role Profile

  • The New Business Development Manager will be targeted primarily on winning new name business.
  • They will work collaboratively to identify new business opportunities and create value propositions and project proposals.
  • This role requires an individual who is passionate about technology, capable in business development and engaged when helping to deliver business improvement.
  • These qualities will enable visionary, strategic and tactical dialogues with prospective clients to solve challenges using technology and to drive Enterprise Value and commercial success.
  • The BD Manager is the first point of contact for prospective clients and works in close partnership with the Technology Advisory team who support on strategic ideation, the Presales Managers who support on technology solutioning and the Lead Generation and Marketing teams to build the brand whilst supporting the generation of quality leads.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify targets within agreed sectors, with a view to engaging specific sales approaches
  • Build a qualified pipeline of sales growth opportunities within the given sector and target base.
  • Track leads, opportunities and sales activity in CRM and ensure accuracy is maintained
  • Partner with Marketing team to design, implement and follow-up campaigns
  • Lead pursuit teams to deliver successful sales outcomes
  • Lead and support the positioning of within the senior management of target accounts
  • Support the definition of sector specific strategies and future growth initiatives, working with the wider market team and colleagues
  • Support Lead Generation with specific initiatives throughout the course of the year
  • Contribute to the development of case studies and marketing content
  • Support with quarterly Client performance reviews
  • Proactively work with the Marketing team to achieve aligned goals
  • Identify opportunities and requirements that could lead to incremental revenue and resource.
  • Be disciplined when it comes to all commercial processes, from preparing financial models to closing off opportunities
  • Operate within the process approval structure to bring offerings to clients with the appropriate approval and business support

Success Profile

  • Considerable experience working in a New Business Development, in a professional services or client facing environment is essential
  • Detail and data driven Passionate about technology
  • Curious and driven to understand how businesses create Enterprise Value
  • Be able to understand and articulate value to a client and playback what good looks like.
  • Tech-savvy with an affinity for innovative and emerging technology
  • Self-reliant, adaptable, decisive, resilient, and professional; able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic environment and comfortable with challenge
  • Proven experience in working toward quarterly goals, in a KPI driven environment.

  • Handling new logo sales (hunting) effectively
  • Should not be ruffled by the thought of rolling up the sleeves and being an IC
  • Comes from product engineering services selling background, not infra-selling
  • Digital, Cloud and Custom app development preferred
  • Enterprise IT Net new Sales experience
  • Have the ability to take into his existing customer leads / contacts
  • On the East Coast (preferred)
  • Has well-defined KPIs (more than 10M a year) in terms of targets for the year (hunting + farming)
  • Knows about the tools (marketing and sales) to use to get the desired sales
  • Knows how to work with inside sales team + lead gen + presales
  • Has worked with nearshore + offshore delivery centers (preferred)
  • Lead Technology partner collaboration, cold calling efforts, tracking moving customer contacts to their new companies
  • Familiarity with CRMs
  • Lead conference-type marketing events
