The Business Development Lead role may be based in Perth, Western Australia or Melbourne, Victoria.
What you’ll do
The key accountabilities for our Business Development Lead role are:
- Achieve budgeted revenue commercial targets
- Market and grow the leasing of rollingstock to all industries who move freight on rail or have the potential to do so
- Submit proposals for new opportunities to new customers
- Negotiate leasing terms and conditions with individual customers
- Liaise with our operations teams to maximise the timely leasing of rollingstock
- Update the Customer Relationship Management System to ensure up to date customer information is available at all times
- Ensure timely distribution and movement of rollingstock in line with customer contractual arrangements
- Lead, manage and champion superior customer service standard when onboarding new customers
- Ensure that a credible new commercial pipeline is maintained and communicated
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Australian Rail Freight Operations is essential.Â
- Well-developed business development, customer relations and negotiation skills and experience will be highly regarded.
- Proven ability and experience in commercial contract development, implementation and administration including dispute resolution.
- Well-developed conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to apply them when working to time and cost constraints.
- Self-motivation with minimum supervision.
