Business Development Manager – Batteries – Consumer Electronics – £60K to £80K – Remote

One of my key client, is a pioneering company leading the charge in innovative battery technology! Their mission is to revolutionize the global battery market with cutting-edge solutions designed to power the next generation of consumer electronics. From drones and mobile phones to other high-tech devices, our technology is at the forefront of the industry. As we expand rapidly, we are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the consumer electronics battery sector.

*Suitable candidates must have – consumer electronics battery background – e.g. supplying batteries for mobile phones, wearables, drones (civilian).

Role: Business Development Manager

Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + Shares (Series A Start-up)

Work Arrangement: Remote

Location: UK or NL

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the consumer electronics battery market, focusing on high-growth segments like drones and mobile phones.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure a robust and stable customer base.
  • Forge and nurture partnerships with battery manufacturers and industry players to drive market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals to boost market share and meet revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to effectively position our battery solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead negotiations with clients and partners to secure favourable terms and successful deal closures.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated track record in business development or sales within the battery or consumer electronics sectors, with a focus on selling to OEMs, drone manufacturers, or mobile phone producers.
  • Strong understanding of battery technology and its applications in consumer electronics, enabling effective communication of product benefits and differentiation.
  • Established network within the consumer electronics or battery manufacturing industries, facilitating the identification of business opportunities and partnership prospects.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, negotiate deals, and close contracts successfully, with a focus on driving revenue and market share growth.
  • Proficiency in conducting market research and staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge and identify new opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the battery or consumer electronics industries, particularly with OEMs, drone manufacturers, or mobile phone producers.
  • Deep understanding of battery technology and its applications in the consumer electronics market.
  • Strong network within the consumer electronics or battery manufacturing sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
