UP Talent Group is partnering with an early-stage company dedicated to transforming K-8 education. They are a national leader in the technology-enabled STEAM education space.
The company is growing and has several openings for dynamic Business Development Managers to help them expand outreach and drive new business initiatives. They have an exceptional leadership team and are on a mission to design STEAM curriculum to transform learners into innovators with STEAM Project-based learning.
If you are a dynamic Business Development Manager with a proven record of exceeding quota and who is passionate about making an impact on the education field, this could be an exciting opportunity.
As a Business Development Manager, You Will:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the K-8 education market, including schools, districts, and educational organizations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve annual sales targets.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and create compelling value propositions for potential clients.
- Cold outreach, build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the education sector, including school administrators, educators, and policymakers.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential challenges in primary and lower-secondary education.
- Prepare and deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations of our products and solutions to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with new partners and clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Track and analyze business development metrics and report on progress to the leadership team.
What They Value in You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business development and sales within the EdTech or K-8 education sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (quotes of $500,000 and higher) and developing successful business strategies.
- Strong understanding of the K-8 education landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Locate and specifically focus on the Northwest and Southeast regions of the US.
- Willing and flexible to travel on an as-needed basis.
