Our client is a global events management company with offices in 20 countries and who manage more than 500 large scale events every year. They are looking for an experienced Business development Manager to join their Dubai based team. The general objective of the role is to locate and propose business to potential clients within the region as well as expand business towards other regions in the Gulf. Handle Destination Management and promote other related products and services of the organization

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with the Business Development Director communicating the clients’ needs effectively to the support team
• Foster productive communication between the client and the rest of the staff and ensure efficiency and profitability for the client and the organization.
• Directing the team towards research and analyzing data.
• Working in synergy with other team members.
• Handle key client relationships within the corporate division and public sector.
• Pitch business opportunities to existing as well as potential clients by creating case studies wherever possible in different industries and associations.
• Create, Manage all RFP responses and preparation of client proposals, marketing materials etc.
• Deliver presentations of new business initiatives
• Constantly support the research team and direct them whilst working on a specific event.
• Follows the business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
• Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
• Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
• Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports.
• Assists Various Departments in preparation of proposals and presentations.

Requirements:

ESSENTIALS
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
• Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
• Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on future buying trends.
• Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
• Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with your company’s managers.
• Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
• Liaising with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders.
• Checking quantities of goods on display and in stock.
• Recording Business development processes in house and sending reports as and when directed.
• Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Business Development/ Account Manager with exposure to Destination Management/Conference Management/ Meetings and Events in the UAE.
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Management studies or any similar technical University degree (MBA)

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Excellent working knowledge of MICE concepts and awareness of trends in the MICE industry
• Effective organizational capabilities
• Confidence, immense perseverance and determination.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and negotiation skills
• Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret research data.
• Microsoft Office skills at a high level are mandatory

Salary:

AED
10,000 to 14,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
