- Develop and implement business development and sales plans to achieve company objectives and maximise sales.
- Develop and nurture relationships with industry decision-makers and planners in target markets.
- Maintain existing customer relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
- Attend and host events to expand networks and contacts.
- Identify, develop, and qualify new business leads in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Conduct phone and face-to-face visits with prospects, including regular travel to Sydney and Brisbane.
- Achieve a monthly target of $2m in pipeline opportunities.
- Lead the company’s client account management strategy.
- Develop plans for strategic accounts and conduct regular site visits.
- Proactively address customer issues and escalate as needed.
- Maintain sales management systems and contribute to quarterly strategy meetings.
- Analyse results and present growth ideas and concerns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads and contribute to marketing collateral.
- Provide market insights and recommend local marketing strategies to increase product awareness and sales.
- Possess two years of field experience in business development or related sales environments.
- Demonstrated success consistently achieving sales targets of a similar value, averaging $2 million in pipeline opportunities per month.
- Proven industry experience in the building and construction sectors (familiarity with the fitout space is a plus).
- Skilled in providing exceptional customer service and confidently engaging with diverse stakeholders via phone, email and face-to-face communication.
- Must have the ability and flexibility to travel regularly, including both local and interstate trips to Sydney and Brisbane.
- You take pride in your meticulous attention to detail and are always on top of things, knowing where everything stands at all times.
- You possess exceptional time management and organisational abilities, consistently meeting deadlines and working efficiently at a fast pace.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a talent for influencing and negotiation.
- Fundamental IT and CRM software proficiency (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce).

They’re now seeking a ‘creative and innovative’ Business Development Manager to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.
