Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will lead the company’s efforts to expand its footprint within the solar energy market, focusing on identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves developing strategic partnerships, managing projects, and collaborating with technical and sales teams to deliver customized solar energy solutions that align with clients’ needs and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
– Market Research and Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitive activities within the solar energy industry. Develop strategies to position the company competitively.
– Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify, approach, and build relationships with key stakeholders in target markets, including commercial, industrial, and government sectors. Maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
– Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation through contract negotiation, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate pipeline tracking. Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
– Proposal and Contract Development: Prepare proposals, presentations, and cost-benefit analyses for prospective clients. Collaborate with legal and technical teams to negotiate and close contracts.
– Project Coordination: Work closely with project management and engineering teams to ensure timely and successful implementation of solar projects, from concept through to execution.
– Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant policies, incentives, and regulations impacting the solar energy market and provide insights for strategy adjustment as needed.
– Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on business development activities, sales metrics, and market intelligence to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
– Female, Indian Nationality is required
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the renewable energy sector, preferably within solar.
– Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing profitable business relationships.
– Strong understanding of solar energy technology, market trends, and regulatory landscape.
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
