Business Development Manager – Cruise (GSA)

Role Overview: We’re looking for a passionate Business Development Manager to drive growth across our diverse offerings. You’ll play a key role in expanding our market presence for key cruise clients and building lasting client relationships.
The role requires a strategic and prioritised approach to new business development balanced with optimising the performance of established partners. Critical to the role’s success will be the ability to build commercially focused relationships externally and collaborative relationships internally.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning & execution: develop and execute quarterly sales development plans including trade-focused co-operative marketing, sales development and training, and consumer and trade events
- Sales development: develop productive relationships with clients, trade partners, the sales development team and other Travel The World Group departments
- Reporting and analysis: provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to management, clients and trade partners relating to business performance and planned activities
- Budget control: monitor and control divisional expenditure aligned with agreed quarterly plans and delegations
What we’re looking for:
- Professional, experienced and well-organised business development or sales manager with 5+ years’ demonstrated experience, preferably from within the travel industry
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain highly effective business relationships
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively across different departments.
- An ability to work autonomously and willingness to attend out of hours events and travel interstate as required
