As a Business Development Associate at Punchcard, this role is at the forefront of fostering strong, strategic relationships with our prospects and clients. This role is pivotal in understanding our clients’ business goals, delivering solutions that drive their success, and ensuring their journey with us is smooth, effective, and exceeds expectations. You will collaborate closely with our project teams to deliver exceptional service and support our clients’ growth and transformation goals.

Expectations of this Role

Business Development

In your role, you will have responsibility in:

  • Conduct research to identify potential clients and generate leads through outbound prospecting
  • Utilize various channels including cold calling, cold digital strategies, networking events, partnerships, RFP responses, and others.
  • Facilitate sales calls with leads and convert to opportunities when there is a fit.
  • Move opportunities through the Punchcard sales process and convert to closed business.
  • Collaborate with members of the business development team to identify and grow opportunities including upselling and cross-selling of our services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop custom solutions that align with the clients’ needs and goals.
  • Host presentations and demonstrations to showcase our products and services to prospective clients.
  • Support the business development team in content development for sales collateral, proposals, presentations, and bids.
  • Utilize our CRM to track and manage sales activity, forecast revenue targets and report against goals

Client Relationship Management

  • Understand client needs and objectives, ensuring their strategic goals are met through the solutions provided by Punchcard.
  • Identify potential client opportunities and develop recommendations for projects and services.

Strategic Planning

  • Work closely with the Punchcard growth team to contribute to a successful business development strategy to ensure revenue quota attainment.
  • Develop an individual strategic plan to realize revenue targets and achieve Punchcard goals.

Market Awareness

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, developments, and best practices to advise clients effectively and maintain Punchcard’s competitive edge.

What you will bring to Punchcard

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with business strategy and technology opportunities in a consulting or sales related role.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 stack, in particular Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • A willingness to learn new things – and experiment in areas that you might not be comfortable with yet (we take risks, and we support our team!)
  • Comfort with technology, and a passion for storytelling.
  • High level of initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm.
