Job Overview:
Novel is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM). The ideal candidate will be a seasoned B2B Sales Professional, a self-starter who can function independently with minimal supervision. Someone who is tenacious in understanding the current B2B environment and aggressive in creating and following through with the new business generation. An honest, and hard-working individual who is looking to achieve high personal success while being a part of a high growth company.
As a BDM you will cover the countries of Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark & Belgium.
Key Requirements:
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills – verbally, in writing, presentations, emails etc.
- Ability to create sales leads via current connections, cold calling, industry outreach, social media
- Passion to build long term relationships with institutional clients
- Dedicated to the end-to-end Sales Cycle efforts
- Skills and maturity to reach out and close deals
- Ability to work with a cross-border team to deliver high quality results against client expectations

Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and qualify potential leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, industry & community outreach and social media.
- Customer Outreach: Initiate contact with potential customers to present our products/services and establish rapport.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our products/services to effectively communicate their value proposition to potential customers.
- Sales Presentations: Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the benefits and features of our offerings.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the management team to provide support for closing deals, including drafting proposals, negotiating terms, and addressing customer inquiries.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress in the CRM system.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to contribute valuable insights to the sales strategy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Initiative: Proactive and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Motivation: A self-driven individual with a passion for sales and a desire to achieve targets.
- At least 5 or more years’ relevant experience in business development / sales focused on B2B in IT Services or Staffing / Consulting verticals.
- Willingness to Travel up to 50% of the time
- EU Citizens and Residents Only. No VISA is available for this job opening.
- Must speak fluent Dutch & English.
- Additional Languages – any of these Swedish, Danish, Finnish, French will be a plus.
