We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong experience selling B2B cross-platform solutions (event sponsorship, digital content partnerships and solutions), ideally within the fintech sector. Ideal role for someone who is keen to join an established publishing and events business to help them drive revenue growth across a portfolio of events and other products.
This role would be perfect for anyone who has a result-driven mindset, consultative sales approach and a proven track record of successfully generating revenue through both new business opportunities and account management.
What will this role include?
- Develop and implement sales strategies to exceed targets, identify new opportunities, and adjust approaches based on market trends and client feedback.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships by understanding needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Promote and sell sponsorships for events, webinars, white papers, and awards, while generating leads through follow-ups and coordinating logistics.
- Increase deal size by bundling products, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and negotiating larger deals.
- Collaborate with marketing to create sales-driven campaigns, develop collateral, and ensure alignment between sales strategies and marketing activities.
- Track and analyse sales performance using CRM tools, report progress, and provide insights to refine strategies and improve results.
The ideal candidate will have/ be:
- Proven track record in acquiring new business, growing accounts, and consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and address client needs.
- Skilled in building long-term client relationships, expanding networks, and identifying new opportunities.
- Experienced in negotiation and closing deals while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven with a strong understanding of market trends and product knowledge.
