About the Position

As a Business Development Manager, you will be pivotal in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting sales targets, contributing to strategic planning, and supporting our ongoing success by generating, nurturing, and converting leads into business opportunities.

Role Details: 

  • Reporting to Head of Business Development
  • Brisbane Based office (Eight Mile Plains)
  • Base salary range $95,000-$105,000 (excluding superannuation)
  • Uncapped Commissions
  • Travel (local and interstate) and time on customer sites may be required 

What you’ll be doing

  • Network with key industry players to identify new business opportunities within the market
  • Keep up to date understanding of the market and competing solutions
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Markinson’s new name strategy
  • Involvement in all stages of the end-to-end sales process  
  • Prospect proactively and widely via outbound activity for a strong sales pipeline

What we are looking for

  • Proven track record of success in new business development, preferably within the Software industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve sales targets
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems
  • In-depth understanding of the IT industry
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or related field would be highly regarded
