We have a new opportunity available for a true new business sales hunter to join our Opal Packaging Plus (OPP) sales team in Melbourne as a Business Development Manager. Our Melbourne site is based in Truganina, VIC.
This role will have a 100% new business sales focus. After winning new business, you will retain new accounts for approximately 12 months to establish them before handing over to one of your colleagues in the sales team.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Using your expertise to generate leads and new business opportunities
- Meet with prospective customers in person, providing a consultative solution-selling approach to understanding their business needs, and how we can provide value to their organisation
- Establishing and growing newly won accounts before handing over to an account manager

- An established track record of developing and winning new business, building relationships and business with new customers
- Resilience, persistence and plenty of energy and passion
- Proven success in a new business development role in a competitive market, ideally in the industrial or manufacturing space selling a product rather than a service
- CRM experience, ideally good working knowledge of Salesforce
