Vinesmith is seeking 2 experienced and commercially astute sales professionals to join our team.
About us: Vinesmith group encompasses Blue Pyrenees, Glenlofty Estate and Decameron Station vineyards, producers of some of Victoria’s most iconic wines spanning the Pyrenees and Grampians wine regions. With a premium portfolio, and a rich heritage dating back to 1963, we also have one eye on the future. We are excited about the expansion of our portfolio and the opening of our first Vinesmith urban cellar door, at No 1 Flinders Lane, in Melbourne.
About the role:
· We are recruiting 2 commercially astute Business Development Managers
– South Eastern Melbourne/ Mornington/ Gippsland
– Western Victoria – the heartland of our brands
· Full P&L accountability to grow your trading area
· Responsible for executing the sales plan for Blue Pyrenees and Glenlofty Estate brands
· Manage both direct sales and route to market wholesalers
· Deliver profitable growth with targets on distribution, volume, sales and gross margin
· Build and nurture relationships across customer base, and wider trade
· Execute brand activation plans, including trade shows and consumer tasting events
· Monthly analysis and reporting, including managing territory via CRM
· Exploit new business development opportunities
· Control expenses within budget
· Reporting to the National Sales Manager
About you:
· The successful candidates will have exceptional and effective communication skills
· Possess a high level of drive and initiative
· Proven track record of achieving budgets and delivering profitable sales growth
· High achievers who can negotiate successful commercial outcomes
· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long term relationships
· Passion for the wine industry, with deep wine knowledge and market insight
