TopRank Marketing is a premiere digital marketing agency in Minneapolis that services Fortune 500 B2B and B2C brands. We are a digital marketing agency that understands the important role that content plays in the marketing mix. 

We are looking for a Business Development & Outbound Sales Manager to join our team! This is a remote position.  This person will need to meet and exceed sales objectives by promoting and selling Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and content marketing services to clients through use of professional sales techniques that grow agency revenue.

With an uncapped commission, the earning potential is unlimited as you grow your book of business!

Essential Functions

  • Outbound Sales
  • Meet and exceed sales targets provided by the company
  • Conduct research on target audiences and prospects
  • Conduct outreach via:
  • Cold calling
  • Emails
  • Social media
  • Follow up on leads and prospects
  • Prepare sales proposals and presentations
  • Manage relationships from initial contact through closed deals
  • Lead internal transition meetings with client services teams once contract agreements are signed.
  • Reporting
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
  • Sales activity
  • Status and results
  • Weekly reports to management on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Update HubSpot is daily to reflect sales activities and prospect data
  • Project Management
  • Participate in internal and prospect meetings
  • Communicate on internal opportunities related to sales deliverables
  • Use the project management system to communicate task details and due dates
  • Work with the internal team to understand priorities in order to complete tasks on or before their assigned due date  
  • Effectively manage workload by tracking task details and providing regular updates 
  • Use internal meeting grids, project management systems, or personal systems to track relevant insights 
  • Research and report on materials that inform sales deliverables

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience selling SEO and Content Marketing (agency experience preferred)
  • Proven track record of closing a large book of business year-over-year
  • Comfortable making cold calls via phone, email and social media
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate 
  • Oral presentations via Zoom (or similar) and clearly articulate pain points and solutions
  • Motivation to learn new technology and systems; experience with HubSpot is required
  • Exhibit effective time management and self-organization to manage personal workloads to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to meet a sales quota and utilize general sales techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • A quiet home office setup conducive to remote work with reliable internet access.
