ACR Software began developing specialised business software in 1987, primarily for customers in retail electronics. From those humble beginnings our service offering, and software became more powerful, feature rich and wide ranging, to support customers in many different industries.
Today, we provide end-to-end ERP software to businesses throughout Australia in the wholesale, retail, manufacturing and office supplies industries, servicing a diverse range of industry verticals from Timber & Hardware to Confectionery.
We’re a small, hardworking and friendly team, which is a 100% owned subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. via its operating group, Vela APX, and therefore, benefit from a strong corporate platform and international support.
ACR Software’s goal is to build and grow upon our long-term stable base, creating the immediate need for this new role working under the direction of the General Manager.
About the role
Whilst previous experience in a business development role or similar is desirable, it is not mandatory – applicants are encouraged to apply if they possess a body of previous work experience showcasing great people skills, work ethic, success-driven mindset and/or exposure to wholesale warehousing or retail hardware.
The successful application will be responsible for the full sales process, from identifying potential new customers (or groups of), understanding their software needs and nurturing them through to their decision to partner with ACR as a customer, using our products in their business.
Once in the role, to be successful you will need to effectively work with and communicate not only those new customers, but also colleagues and superiors throughout the entire business – ranging from Management, Sales & Marketing through to Admin, Support teams and Developers.
Your efforts and commitment will be pivotal in ACR achieving it’s goals in the years ahead, whilst providing opportunity to grow into the next step of your own career.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Foster strong commercial relationships with clients and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Grow business through sales to meet agreed sales targets.
- Systematically contact and track call-outs to potential new customers or buying groups.
- Prepare documents, quotations and negotiate prices, contract terms and conditions.
- Assist with the implementation of sales strategies and plans for the organisation.
- Collaborate with Sales Director and Marketing Manager for our market strategy, messaging and execution.
- Prompt and efficient customer service to internal and external customers
- Manage pipeline for future sales opportunities in the designated CRM.
You’re Likely a Match
- Industry experience in a business trading environment. FMCG, Warehousing, Retail.
- Understanding in customer service, including managing calls and resolving complaints.
- Experience conducting sales conversations and negotiating sales agreements.
- Can manage deadlines and changing priorities.
- Experience using data and analytics (sales or otherwise) to generate insights and influence decision-making.
- Experience creating internal reports.
- Broad understanding of the software, retail, wholesale, manufacturing industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
