Job Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand the company’s presence within the space propulsion sector.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in space and defense industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, commercial enterprises, and industry leaders.
  • Lead negotiations for customer agreements, leveraging a consultative sales approach to drive revenue.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to craft tailored solutions for clients, showcasing the company’s propulsion technologies.
  • Manage end-to-end proposal processes, including pricing strategies, technical writing, and agreement development.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote capabilities and build networks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, program management, or related fields within the aerospace or defense sectors.
  • Hands-on experience in a startup environment, preferably in the early growth stages.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes, including defense acquisition and proposal development.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Advanced degree in aerospace engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in securing high-value contracts in the aerospace or defense industries.
  • Experience managing complex, long-term sales processes, and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of propulsion systems and their applications in space missions.

Security Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain US Secret clearance.
