Accent Home Care has a range of services that extend to Home Care Packages (HCP), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and private services. We are a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) provider with its origins in the Melbourne German Community. While we are located in Bayswater, we service metropolitan Melbourne.
What the role is
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Care Advisor in the Northern Region (Northcote, Lalor, Craigieburn, Plenty, Preston, Heidelberg, Greensborough), who has exceptional skills in sales, communication, relationships building, preferably with experience in the aged care sector. The role is critical in managing relationships and expectations of new consumers and their representatives, with focus on the Northern Region. The Care Advisor is critical to the growth of the business as they will be the first point of contact for new consumers and their representatives, managing and coordinating the intake, onboarding, and discharge. Furthermore, the Care Advisor will play a critical role in promoting the services by attending relevant community events and groups including Expos.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic and professional individual with a good eye for detail and have exceptional customer service focus. You will have a history of managing stakeholder relations and a demonstrated history of your achievements. You will need have some experience in HCP and CHSP funding and client centred approach. You will need to be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability and initiative to work on your own. You will have demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds & personalities; the ability to speak a European language such as German or Polish, or alternative is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to new enquiries for the service
- Cooperate with referral partners
- Guide new consumers and representatives through Aged Care Services including HCP and CHSP
- Manage and coordinate the intake, onboarding, and discharge of Consumers
- Maintain and establish relationships with new potential consumers as well as relevant stakeholders
- Effective handover of new Consumers to other team members who will provide ongoing care
- Data management including processing, storing, organising, and maintaining data base and preparing reports
- Utilise Government websites/portals to register consumer admissions and discharges
- Work effectively as part of the Engagement Team with efficient communication and supporting
- Promote the service by different means
Skills and experience
- Knowledge of Government subsidised care services
- Excellent organisational skills, including time management and the ability to handle changing priorities
- Provide clear and concise written, and verbal communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to work well within a team
- A flexible and adaptable approach
- Ongoing wiliness to undertake relevant training
Desirable
- A solid working understanding of HCP, CHSP and other community aged care services
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards
- A second language

You will also need
- Current Driver’s License and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role
