Growing Potential is a well-respected provider of early childhood services in Western Sydney, having operated in the area for more than 75 years. Following a period of expansion that led to the establishment of an indigenous-specific NDIS service in regional NSW, the organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced Chief Executive Officer to drive the next phase of growth.
Taking over from the interim-CEO who has been in place since late-2023, the successful candidate will:
- Work with the Board and Executive team to implement the newly endorsed Strategic Plan;
- Lead the organisation through its next phase which will build off the existing services, and enhance their impact in all the areas in which they operate;
- Shape the culture and improve the processes required to support the strategy;
- Ensure that quality care and customer engagement remain a key priority; and
- Position the organisation as a leader in its chosen communities by expanding partnerships, relationships and funding to support the diverse communities they serve.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person, and they will step into an organisation poised for growth. Financially it is stable, governance is strong and effective, and it has a strong brand and an established footprint in the community. Ideally, the successful candidate will possess:
- A deep understanding and a proven track record in a senior leadership role, preferably as a CEO, in the not-for-profit sector;
- Knowledge of the childcare and early childhood sectors, as well as the NDIS, its challenges and opportunities;
- Experience in leading an organisation through change;
- Previous success in driving and successfully growing a related organisation; and
- Outstanding ability to build and maintain strong, authentic relationships with key stakeholders, including families, children, staff, government funding bodies, and community partners.
