The Axel Group is currently seeking full-time licensed civil engineers for an exciting opportunity with a reputable engineering firm. We are looking for candidates with 7+ years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in land development and stormwater system design.

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. Experience with consulting engineering firms on government contracts is a plus. This position is remote, but will require occasional sites!

Ideal candidates will possess strong design and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD. Proven experience in managing both residential and commercial projects is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake detailed designs and manage a range of civil engineering projects including residential and commercial land development, utility layout, E&S, grading, and stormwater management.
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, and property owners on project design and implementation, capable to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, and ensure project timelines, budget and specifications are met.
• Work scope may also include attending bid walks and preparing relevant proposals for new projects.
• Monitor project budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation, making necessary adjustments to achieve project goals while ensuring compliance with public funding and reporting standards.
• Ability to prepare proposals, presentations, and strategic plans for new projects.
• Ability with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of civil engineering experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities
• Active professional engineering (PE) license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
• Specific expertise in land development and stormwater system design
• Strong ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from initiation to completion.
• Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and expanding business opportunities.

We are looking for self-starters who can prioritize and multitask effectively. An active professional engineering license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania is mandatory for these positions. This is a remote position, candidates throughout NJ/PA/NY are encouraged to apply! There will be occasional travel to job sites throughout NJ/PA/NY!

Pay: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
