Claims Adjusters (Remote)

My client is a global organisation specialising in professional claims management and loss adjusting services. Renowned for their expertise across a wide range of industries, they focus on delivering tailored solutions to insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and corporate clients.

They are looking for multiple claims adjusters to join their European team as they expand into Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

• Claims Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of property damage claims to determine cause, liability, and extent of loss. This involves on-site inspections and interviews with relevant parties.
• Damage Assessment: Evaluate and document the extent of property damage, utilising industry-standard estimating software to prepare accurate repair or replacement cost estimates.
• Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for policyholders, providing clear communication and guidance throughout the claims process to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Report Preparation: Compile detailed reports summarising findings, including photographs, estimates, and relevant documentation, to support claim resolution.
• Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate fair and equitable settlements with policyholders, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with policy terms and conditions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and adhere to local regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the claims handling process.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Several years of experience in property loss adjusting or a related field, with a strong understanding of property insurance policies and claims processes.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in claims management software and estimating tools; familiarity with construction methods and building materials is advantageous.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess damages and determine appropriate claim resolutions.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various customer sites as required, with the ability to manage a flexible work schedule that includes remote work and on-site visits.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications or licenses in loss adjusting or insurance are preferred.

Work Environment:

• Remote Work: Ability to effectively manage tasks and responsibilities while working from a home office, including maintaining necessary equipment and connectivity.
• Travel: Regular travel to customer locations for on-site inspections and assessments, requiring a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a vehicle.
