The role:

We are seeking a Claims Administrator for to join our friendly and supportive team with great potential for career growth! If you have prior industry experience in Insurance or Claims handling, we would love to hear from you.

We have a hybrid model of work: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, with flexibility on days and hours to suit the needs of you and the team.

The position will primarily focus on administrative responsibilities, including handling inbound calls on the claims notification hotline and making outbound calls to address claims enquiries. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Setting up of new claims, managing claims correspondence and telephone enquiries
  • Managing Change of Ownership requests
  • Filing and retrieval of files, scanning and indexing
  • Assist with data for claims reporting
  • Claims suspense follow-ups
  • Claim payments
  • Mapping of administration processes and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Management of claim mail, email inbox and inventory
  • Claim customer service enquiries
  • Ad hoc claims administration tasks
  • System testing as required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong administration experience (ideally within insurance related role) is preferred
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and support the wider team
  • Experience in general insurance administration will be considered
  • Familiarity with claims process or medical terminology is highly desirable
  • Effective customer service telephone techniques; strong commitment to customer service and quality
  • Ability to successfully perform in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Ability to adapt to change in an evolving environment
  • Solid organisation, prioritisation, research and follow-up skills
  • Focus on process and continual improvement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
