Your role at St John of God Health Care
You will provide leadership, coordinate the team’s activities, ensure effective support and maintenance of clinical applications, drive improvement initiatives relative to business needs, and maintain strong relationships with the business and vendors to maximise the value of digital investments in SJGHC.
The Position
- Guide, mentor, lead a team of dedicated Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and allow them to thrive in a safe and secure environment
- Continually look for ways to improve clinical applications capabilities and dexterity across our organisation
- Work with the Clinical Applications Operation’s Manager to set clear and achievable goals for your team. Make sure everyone understands what is expected of them, and create a roadmap for achieving those goals.
- Design & build solutions that deliver real tangible benefits to the business and maximise our existing investments
- Create and develop the teams internal knowledge to ensure a clear understanding of our solutions to reduce any resolution times
- Analyse data, systems, practices and processes to determine the appropriate requirements and solutions, recommending best use of products and enhancements to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Engage with business leads to establish and attend relevant user groups
- Work with caregivers, stakeholders and vendors building effective relationships to maximise our digital investments
- Guiding the Clinical Application business team to ensure integrity, confidentiality and availability of information within Clinical Applications are suitably managed, tested and maintained
- Actively co-ordinate business related requests and enhancements per agreed SLA’s
- Work with Digital Security and data owners to ensure appropriate security policies are applied to systems and data.
- Create sustainable education packs relating to business needs
- Assist with the preparation of functional specifications and estimates of effort to design, develop and deliver approved interface and system solutions.
- Assist with the support of rollouts of relevant systems and upgrades
It is essential you have experience working with clinical and non-clinical applications specifically in a large hospital setting. You will have the ability to analyse administrative and clinical information requirements and translate these into system functional deliverables, along with experience working with and supporting external vendors and integrating 3rd party software systems.
To succeed you will possess knowledge and experience in system interoperability and securing software, systems, and information. Coordination of change and release activities within enterprise systems development is essential, alongside familiarity with hospital and corporate application processes. Experience managing organisation-wide IT applications is crucial, as is the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively using strong time management skills.

- Salary $119,910 to $133,183 per annum plus 11.5% Superannuation
- Permanent fulltime position working 76 hours a fortnight
- Located in Perth CBD Kings Square office
