Responsibilities

The Clinical Manager – Specialty Programs is responsible for supporting the coordination and administration of a national provider network in partnership with the Clinical Director. This includes process improvement and program oversight while carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures nationwide.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manages clinical administration for specialty programs in Troy, MI and nationwide
  • Oversee the regulatory/compliance strategy and oversight related to clinical activities
  • Documents work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitors clinical staff to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, state laws and quality
  • In coordination with the Clinical Director, manages provider relationships, performance, and delivery with internal partners and lead management process improvement efforts
  • Coordinates closely with multiple departments on recruitment and capacity standards
  • Responsible for determining staffing needs, quality measures, performance dashboard/reviews
  • Oversee the coordination of monitoring collaboration program with physician network
  • Manage the tracking of all necessary credentials, including licenses, CPR, TB, compliance, etc.
  • Participate in clinical review and audit procedures for internal and external providers
  • Attends all required meetings and in-services
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication
  • Responsible for aggressively addressing and acting upon adverse events and action thresholds in area of responsibility
  • Will be responsible for multi-state programs, including supervision of remote staff

Qualifications

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or 4 years supervisory experience
  • Licensed Medical Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, or Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • 3-5 years of healthcare management experience
  • Ensures efficient and economical performance in accordance with department operating budgets and takes the appropriate actions to ensure the attainment of profit and year-end goals and objectives
  • Ability to coordinate complex activities across functional lines of operations, under tight timelines
  • Must be able to relate professionally and positively to physicians, providers and staff with excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills
