Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead project planning sessions with architects, engineers, and clients to clearly define project objectives, scope, and timelines.
- Create and sustain comprehensive schedules, budgets, and work plans to guarantee timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Establish defined project execution strategies, encompassing resource allocation and procurement plans.
- Inspire and lead project teams, including subcontractors and in-house personnel, ensuring synergy and alignment on project goals.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, addressing their needs with professionalism and transparency.
- Conduct regular team meetings to provide project updates and proactively tackle any issues.
- Oversee budget management, ensuring adherence to financial constraints while upholding quality and safety standards.
- Monitor project estimates, invoices, and change orders for accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings wherever feasible.
- Proactively anticipate potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and local building codes through site inspections.
- Cultivate a safety-first culture at all job sites.
- Select, negotiate, and manage subcontractors and vendors to fulfill project specifications.
- Supervise subcontractor performance to ensure timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, and daily logs.
- Provide regular project updates to clients and leadership to ensure alignment.
- Build enduring client relationships, managing project close-out procedures and leading post-completion reviews to extract valuable feedback and lessons learned.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a knack for inspiring and guiding diverse teams.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven expertise in managing project budgets with P&L responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, particularly with ground-up projects.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects valued at up to $10 million.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, budgeting, and scheduling, combined with field experience.
