The Commercial Lines Manager/Marketer is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities. This role combines account management, client relationship building, and sales/marketing activities to ensure client satisfaction and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
- Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess clients’ changing needs and risk exposures.
- Process policy changes, renewals, and endorsements accurately and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests for information.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for insurance matters.
- Provide expert advice on risk management strategies and insurance solutions.
- Educate clients on industry trends, new products, and regulatory changes that may impact their insurance needs.
- Sales and Marketing:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial insurance sector.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and expand existing accounts.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with underwriters to develop tailored insurance solutions for clients.
- Market Analysis and Product Knowledge:
- Stay current on insurance market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging risks in various industries.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverage options.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all account activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and market trends.
- Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Work closely with underwriters, claims personnel, and other departments to resolve client issues and optimize service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- RIBO license
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with a proven track record in account management and sales.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
