We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Commercial Property Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Execute the role of a Commercial Property desk adjuster by establishing claims files, conducting investigations, and assessing coverage and damage issues.
• Document all file activities in adherence to the company’s service expectations and best practices.
• Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate with policyholders regarding coverage and procedural expectations with empathy and clarity.
• Review policy language to ensure correct application of intent and evaluate potential incurred damages to set appropriate reserves.
• Efficiently settle claims while coordinating necessary vendor services, including contractors and emergency repair services.
• Stay informed on local, state, and federal statutes and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all regulations and Fair Claims Practices Guidelines.
• Identify suspicious losses and recommend appropriate referrals as necessary.
• Collaborate on large or complex exposure file analyses and strategic development.
• Execute all responsibilities with a high degree of urgency and precision.

Required Skills

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial property claims.
• Solid understanding of construction and reconstruction processes.
• Proficient in coordinating with estimators, engineers, forensic accountants, and other vendors.
• Experience in managing litigated cases and liaising with defense counsel.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Skilled in creating estimates using Xactimate and other modern business technologies.
• Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills.
• Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or relevant professional designations such as AIC, CPCU, or AFIS.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial property claims coverages and principles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate adjuster licensing and facilitate ongoing education.
