You’ll be working with a great team of marketing and communication professionals, getting the message out about how we do what we do. Our culture is one of gathering for times of prayer and discussion of biblical principles and topics. In addition to the individual work we do, we also participate in daily prayer, weekly Chapel, and group devotional time.

Job Overview

The Communications Manager will play a crucial role in the execution of communication strategies that effectively convey our brand, mission and values. This individual will work closely with the department head and will be responsible for the implementation of communication plans as outlined. The role encompasses overseeing all internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging and brand integrity.

TOP FIVE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Execute and manage communications strategies while being responsive to current events in a timely manner to ensure content is relevant to our partners and outside audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the department head to ensure cohesive and effective messaging across all platforms.
  • Manage and oversee all non-fundraising communications, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and website content.
  • Keep all communications and messaging guides up to date, and ensure content created by the marketing team and other departments follows the brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure cohesive messaging across various channels as well as provide support in creating compelling content toward fulfillment of ministry initiatives..

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business or combination of college and work experience to equal same.
  • Minimum of 5+years marketing and communications experience preferably in a non-profit industry understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in a mission-driven environment
  • Strong leadership experience with at least two or more years of experience in personnel management.
  • Experience in managing media relationships, writing press releases, and securing media coverage for non-profit initiatives.
  • Intermediate to expert skill with MS Office and Adobe software suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, Dreamweaver or HTML builder, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and confidential environment.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles with proven track record of creating innovative solutions
  • Experience using Virtuous CRM, SendGrid email platform or similar (Constant Contact etc.,) preferred.
  • Social media experience preferred
