About the Role
As we continue to expand our impact, we are looking for a dynamic and passionate Communications Manager to lead our global communications strategy and help us increase our impact. This role will be pivotal in increasing our community of health professionals, raising awareness, advocating for policy change, and communicating the critical links between diet, health, and climate across diverse stakeholders.
As Communications Manager, you will spearhead the development and execution of communication strategies that amplify our mission and ensure our messages resonate with global audiences. You will work closely with teams across the PAN organization in 8 countries, including advocacy, partnerships, research, and campaigns, to craft compelling narratives and campaigns that highlight the importance of healthy diets and the sustainable food systems that support them.

Key responsibilities
Develop and Implement Communication Strategies
Lead the creation and implementation of a global communications strategy that advances the organization’s goals, strengthens its brand, and engages diverse audiences, including policymakers, donors, partners, doctors and the general public.Content Creation and Management
Write, edit, and oversee the creation of compelling content, including articles, blog posts, social media content, press releases, and multimedia materials, with a focus on health, food systems, and climate change.Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders (including media, partners, donors, and thought leaders) to advocate for our work and amplify key messages.Advocacy and Policy Communication
Work with advocacy teams to craft strategic messaging that supports policy change related to healthy diets, food security, and climate action.Media Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, pitching stories, and securing high-profile media coverage on issues related to human health, nutrition, and sustainable food systems.Social Media and Digital Campaigns
Work with latest technologies and lead the development and execution of engaging digital campaigns across various platforms, driving awareness and engagement on issues related to food, health, and the environment.Monitoring and Evaluation
Track the effectiveness of our communication initiatives and adjust strategies based on feedback and performance metrics.
Requirements
Experience & QualificationsProven experience (minimum 3 years) in communications, preferably working within the nonprofit sector, preferably in the fields of global health, food security, or climate change.
Good understanding of the connections between human health, food systems, and climate change.
A degree in communications, international relations or a related field is preferred.
SkillsExcellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and adapt messaging to different audiences.
Proficiency in social media platforms and digital tools for content creation, management and analytics.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in media relations, including handling press inquiries and pitching stories.

Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g. Spanish, German, French, or Arabic) are a plus.
