We’re growing our team in Australia and are looking for clever people that are passionate about compliance, risk and security, and can work alongside our Product, Engineering and Sales teams to grow our company and security posture.
As a Compliance and Information Security Analyst at OI, you will be responsible for working with, supporting, implementing and monitoring our cybersecurity and compliance programs to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data. You will play a key role in ensuring that our services, which cater to customer service organisations, meet industry standards and regulatory requirements related to information security and data protection.
You’ll play a key role supporting our customers and potential customers by completing information security assessments, assisting with technical responses, completing risk assessments, updating policies and ensuring alignment with infosec and contractual obligations.
More broadly you will assist with our ongoing and new compliance work which includes SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and additional frameworks, including ISO and GDPR.
This role will be based in our South Melbourne office, with occasional opportunities to work from home.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Respond to customer RFIs, questions and technical documentation requests.
- Assist with audit processes for SOC2 Type II, HIPAA, ISO 27001 and GDPR, by providing documentation and collecting evidence.
- Conduct regular risk assessments by identifying and assessing the potential impacts of risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
- Assist in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and compliance requirements
- Provide training and support to team members on security awareness and compliance best practices.
- Manage the documentation and reporting of all compliance and security incidents, ensuring that all incidents are logged and resolved in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities pertaining to the company’s industry and operations.
What are the role requirements?
It’s a given that you’re smart and have a good track record, but for a few more specifics see below:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security or compliance, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
- Professional certifications such as CCSK, CISA, CISM, or similar are highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, including emerging threats, security solutions, and compliance implications.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and cybersecurity laws and regulations.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, anti-virus software, patch management systems, and encryption.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
