We are recruiting a Compliance Manager to successfully manage, oversee and implement the organisation’s day to day audit and compliance for end point assessment.
The Compliance Manager is part of the Quality & Compliance department and pivotal to maintaining compliance in accordance with Ofqual’s requirements of assessment in line with the General Conditions of Recognition.
Working with the Head of Quality and Compliance, you will be responsible for setting, managing, and implementing the necessary compliance activities to achieve the core objectives of end point assessment, and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
You will be required to lead on the implementation of risk management and drive common approaches across the business as well as ensure services and products provided by the business achieve a high level of quality and consistency, maintaining the integrity and reputation of a business by ensuring it operates within the legal, regulatory and ethical boundaries.
Job duties:
- Manage and oversee the compliance and audit for end point assessment.
- Implement and monitor the Compliance strategy.
- Analyse, interpret and cascade data to enable tracking, trend analysis and metric reporting, to identify risks and best practice.
- Own the compliance policies and processes set out by 1st for EPA.
- Review new documents and review/update existing materials and supporting documentation.
- Ensure statement of results are compliant with SLAs and company guidelines.
- Keep up to date regarding changes to legislation, regulation and standard requirements.
- Conduct audits and monitoring, addressing any compliance issues.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential or actual areas of non-compliance.
- Support with quality and compliance tasks, including:
- Identify and implement areas for continuous improvement/standardisation
- Maintaining an accurate conflicts of interest register.
- Standardisation – check comparability across standards, assessors and training providers to ensure standardisation.
- Support the Head of Quality and Compliance in identifying and implementing areas for continuous improvement/standardisation.
- Respond to customer and operational queries and provide support
- Support with reasonable adjustment requests
- Support with investigations into appeals, complaints and malpractice
- Support the planning and delivery of standardisation meetings
- Monitor Certificate claims using EPA Pro system
- Other tasks as required.
Person specification
Experience
· Significant experience of working within a quality and compliance role within EPA.
· Experienced in using and applying relevant regulation to EPAOs, including Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition.
· High levels of experience of using technology to facilitate compliance activities.
Skills
· Strong customer focus and extensive knowledge of the apprenticeship landscape. Pivotal in monitoring and auditing the end to end assessments in accordance with the General Conditions of Recognition as laid out by Ofqual.
· Very well organised and flexible, an excellent team worker and reliable problem-solver with a creative mindset and passion for apprenticeships.
· Ability to communicate ideas and new concepts for compliance activities.
· Very strong attention to detail.
· Thorough understanding of the apprenticeship EPA landscape and assessment practices.
· Vast experience of operating and achieving high quality results in an assessment environment.
· Outstanding written and spoken English with exceptional grammar skills.
· Being proactive to understand the evolving assessment landscape.
· Deadline driven, with a willingness to adapt.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
