Job Overview

We are actively seeking driven and dedicated professionals located in Florida who aspire to cultivate a career in project management within the commercial development, construction, and real estate sectors. As a Construction Manager or Construction Project Manager, you will be pivotal in upholding our quality control standards while delivering exceptional customer service. This position will directly support our commercial operations and advance our strategic goals. Opportunities are available in both General Contracting (GC) and Construction Management (CMa) lines of business across various regions of Florida.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all construction endeavors, coordinating work and schedules with division leaders and project teams.
  • Collaborate with site Superintendents to assess and determine effective construction techniques and strategies, implementing the most efficient plans and timelines.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Review architectural drawings and specifications, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Assist in creating job estimates by interpreting bid documents.
  • Develop and draft subcontracts and purchase order requisitions as necessary.
  • Establish, track, and manage project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are achieved in collaboration with the site Superintendent.
  • Manage the submittal and RFI processes, ensuring all information is processed for necessary approvals.
  • Ensure financial success of projects by establishing and monitoring project budgets, preparing reports on job costs to meet earnings targets.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing production, improving efficiency, and reducing expenses.
  • Work closely with the Construction Operations Manager and/or VP regarding resource allocation to meet project timelines.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and monitor adherence to company and project safety standards.
  • Submit all required project documentation punctually.
  • Conduct regular site visits to coordinate with the project’s site Superintendent.
  • Serve as the primary communication conduit for site Superintendents for assigned projects.
  • Engage in direct communication with project Owners, Construction Managers, and project teams.
  • Participate in onsite coordination meetings and project-specific discussions.
  • Assist clients and/or sales opportunities in the development and review of proposal components.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
  • Experience with contracts and the construction procurement process.
  • Solid understanding of job estimates, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable in workforce planning and labor resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills for drafting reports, business correspondence, and summaries.
  • Strong organizational skills for coordinating and integrating projects, personnel, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships within local communities.
  • Attention to detail and capacity to identify alternative work methods when necessary.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in remote settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and experienced with computerized construction management systems (e.g., Procore, Sage).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification required (must be obtained within the first 60 days if not currently held).
  • A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is essential.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, as needed.

Compensation And Benefits

This full-time hybrid role presents a total compensation package ranging from (78,000 to )114,000, inclusive of an annual bonus. The base salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
