Position Summary

We’re looking for a self-motivated, high energy Bookkeeper. Position responsibilities include bookkeeping tasks such as maintaining General Ledger, payroll and month-end closing tasks. The right candidate for this position will be able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple customer needs and deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accounting quality of work and professionalism. The position will serve as back up to the Outsourcing Specialist and may perform entry level accounting tasks for larger or more complex customers This role requires a strong command of both written and spoken English. This role will regularly meet with and communicate via email and chat with native English speakers in the USA.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform concurrently month-end closing procedures for multiple customers
• Automate reoccurring tasks using bookkeeping software
• Use Excel to report, summarize, reconcile and analyze data and present
• Extract, analyze and import data from Stripe, Square, Paypal and other cloud payment software
• Assist with creating cash flow models, budgets, forecasts, and other analysis using advanced Excel techniques
• Identify variances and trends in financial data
• Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, and expressing recommendations
• Use prior experiences to develop creative approaches for solving issues
• Use critical thinking skills to identify exceptions and errors in data and make corrections
• Collaborate with team members to develop solutions to complex business challenges
• Actively participate in team meetings, anticipating and providing ideas for process improvement and opportunities

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate positively and be a strong team player as well as manage customer relationships
• 5 years of accounting experience with excellent knowledge of Debits, Credits, accruals and prepaids, and strong understanding of financial statements. Experience with foreign currency and working with US companies a plus
• Experience / desire to learn multiple accounting software platforms. Role will require passing and maintaining accounting software certifications
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple customer accounts simultaneously
• Must be able to communicate positively and be a strong team player as well as manage customer relationships.
• Exceptional attention to details with an independent strong work ethic capable of completing assigned task with minimal oversight
• Willingness to work additional hours when demand spikes
• Strong ability to communicate and anticipate issues with Accounting Supervisor and Local Contact
• Deliver exceptional customer service by taking a customer 1st approach and dedicated service 1st mentality that deepens customer trust
• Willing to ask the WHY, be proactive and propose new ways of improving processes to Accounting Supervisor and Local Contact
• Must be able to overlap USA time zones as needed
• Must have a PC with Windows 10 software with a camera, mic, and speakers to be able to have video calls
