Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy Development: Develop, maintain, and execute a content marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s marketing objectives and business goals. Identify target audiences and key content themes to enhance engagement and support strategic initiatives
- Content Calendar Ownership: Create, maintain, and manage a comprehensive content calendar to ensure timely and organized content production and publication
- Content Creation and Management: Produce a variety of content types, including blog posts, articles, social media updates, whitepapers, and case studies. Ensure all content meets high-quality standards through a rigorous QA process
- SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices in collaboration with our SEO team to optimize content for search engines. Conduct keyword research and incorporate relevant keywords into the content strategy to improve organic visibility and drive traffic
- Effective Content Distribution: Ensure key content is distributed effectively to target audiences. When reach is limited, work with third-party distribution companies to maximize exposure
- Audience Engagement: Foster relationships with the audience through comments, social media interactions, and feedback. Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to assess content effectiveness and improve future content
- Project Management: Lead content initiatives from concept through execution. Manage timelines and coordinate with content creators, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Internal Content Visibility: Ensure customer-facing teams and other internal stakeholders have access to relevant content. Support internal content visibility for improved customer interactions
- Ad Hoc Request Management: Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to address their content needs. Prioritize and manage ad hoc content requests efficiently
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Work with the marketing data analyst to track and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media analytics. Prepare regular reports on key content metrics, including traffic, engagement, conversions, and ROI
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, product development, and other departments to ensure cohesive and effective content strategies
- Content Governance: Maintain content guidelines and standards to ensure consistency and compliance with legal and ethical requirements
- Trend Monitoring and Innovation: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging content technologies. Propose and experiment with new content formats and techniques to keep strategies fresh and innovative
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-8+ years of proven experience as a Content Marketing Manager or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful content projects
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools
- Experience in project management and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Ability to analyze performance data and make data-driven decisions
