Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business planning and performance excellence? The City of Melville is seeking a dynamic Coordinator Strategy and Performance to join our fast paced team to lead and enhance our integrated planning and reporting framework, ensuring alignment with statutory obligations and best practices to support the delivery of community outcomes.

 

About the Role

You will be overseeing and driving the City’s Integrated Planning and Reporting (IPR) framework, ensuring the effective delivery and ongoing enhancement of corporate strategic, service and project planning, as well as performance reporting and management. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will support the alignment of services and project performance with the City’s strategic priorities, ensuring consistent visibility and reporting across all initiatives.

  • Salary: $106,244.32 – $123,661.53 + 11.5% super
  • Location: City of Melville Civic Centre
  • Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate the City’s IPR framework in line with Local Government statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate Council-led, community-informed strategic reviews and annual planning to define and prioritse strategic objectives
  • Work closely with internal teams to optimise business, service, and project planning processes, informing the budget process.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability through accurate tracking of KPIs and the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for leadership and Council.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to facilitate and maintain visibility over project and program portfolios and their alignment with the Council Plan.
  • Deliver and enhance corporate strategic planning, reporting, and project performance management processes.
  • Research, prepare, interpret and evaluate reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support alignment of strategic plans, operational plans, and the City’s Vision, integrating with learning and development initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of new project management software to improve project tracking and reporting.

 

What We are Looking For

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Local Government or related.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience of the Local Government WA Integrated Planning and Reporting framework. 
  • Demonstrated experience in change management.
  • Capability and experience in relevant software systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in building effective relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
