- $100,000 – $110,000 + Super
- Creating compelling written content for supporter emails, reports, the fundraising team’s campaigns, landing pages and digital ads (50%)
- Take the lead on engagement content sourcing and creating interesting and relevant subjects for webinars and events that highlight the real-world impact of their work (30%)
- Generating emotive content developed from creative briefs provided you will write and design copy, images and graphics for digital needs and occasional simple video production (10%)
- Collaborating with a highly motivated and capable digital fundraising team to ensure supporters are connected with and contribute to support the mission (10%)

- A background in copywriting, journalism, public relations, or communications / marketing.
- Experience writing persuasive communications for a range of audiences and channels, including eDMs/digital ads and direct response communications.
- Comfortable in a digital environment with basic graphic design video editing skills using Canva and/or Adobe suite.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
- A keen interest in climate change or willingness to immerse yourself and learn.
- Purpose: Contribute to ending climate pollution and keeping future generations safe.
- Collaboration: Work with an enthusiastic, supportive, and innovative team of almost 40 people across 2 offices.

- Applications close on 12th January, and we aim to respond to all applicants by the 17th January.
- Initial screening calls with Rebecca at For Purpose Talent will take place between 7th – 15th January.
- Interviews are scheduled for 20th & 21st January with the Climate Council hiring team.
- Successful candidates will be invited for a 2nd interview and asked to complete up to 2 role-related tasks, followed by psychometric testing and reference checks.

The Role – Copywriting and Content Lead
Reporting to the Digital Fundraising Director, the Copywriting and Content Lead role will be the creative driving force behind the Climate Council’s fundraising and community engagement communications. As an engaging storyteller and persuasive communicator, you will use your copywriting powers, insightful creative judgement, and graphic design skills to inspire new and existing supporters to take climate action and deepen supporters’ connection with Climate Council’s mission.
Collaborating closely with a team of 6, you will support with all copywriting and content creation of impactful communication pieces. You will find innovative ways to deepen their community’s connection with the cause and organisation, increasing supporter loyalty and lifetime value by developing and delivering actions, experiences and content that give supporters hope and confidence their actions have impact.
