Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced EAP Counselor to join our innovative remote team. This role offers the opportunity to provide impactful mental health counseling to corporate clients while enjoying the benefits of a flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver brief, solution-focused counseling to effectively address clients’ immediate mental health concerns.
  • Ensure client safety for individuals presenting a risk to themselves or others.
  • Refer clients to long-term treatment options as necessary, utilizing benefit plans and community resources.
  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation of client interactions in compliance with established processes.
  • Assume clinical responsibility for individual, family, and group counseling sessions.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, formulate treatment plans, and provide ongoing updates.
  • Manage a balanced caseload to ensure timely transfers and discharges of clients.
  • Achieve or surpass performance metrics as determined by outcome assessments and client satisfaction surveys.
  • Engage in program development initiatives and contribute to team growth.
  • Remain informed about trends and best practices in counseling and mental health.

Required Skills

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Independent clinical license is a prerequisite.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing direct clinical services and solution-focused therapy.
  • Extensive knowledge of treatment issues and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services.
  • Outstanding communication skills, particularly in customer service, coupled with sound clinical judgment.
  • Ability to think critically, multitask, and uphold a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient documentation, treatment planning, and assessment skills.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • An independent clinical license is essential.
  • Proven experience in delivering direct clinical services is necessary.
