Country Manager (Remote)

Our client is seeking a Country Manager to spearhead their expansion into the Japanese iGaming market. This role will focus on developing a market-specific strategy, driving business growth, and localizing their crypto casino and sports betting products for Japanese players.

Key Responsibilities: Country Manager | Japan

Market Strategy Development:

• Create and implement a comprehensive market strategy tailored to the Japanese iGaming market, addressing both short-term and long-term growth objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, sponsorships, and other strategies for market entry.

Product Localization & Management:

• Oversee the localization of crypto casino and sports-betting products to cater to the preferences of Japanese players.
• Ensure all product aspects, such as user interfaces, customer support, and promotions, are fully adapted to enhance the user experience.
• Work closely with product development teams to integrate feedback from the Japanese market into product updates and improvements.

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

• Develop and implement a targeted marketing strategy to build brand awareness and attract Japanese customers.
• Manage the creation and execution of localized marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, making data-driven adjustments to optimize return on investment (ROI).

Affiliate Management & Onboarding:

• Establish and maintain relationships with local affiliates to drive traffic and customer acquisition.
• Oversee the affiliate onboarding process, ensuring they have the tools and resources to effectively promote the brand.
• Continuously optimize the affiliate program to improve performance and sustain strong, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Brand Strategy for the Market:

• Develop and execute a brand strategy that positions the company as a top iGaming operator in Japan.
• Ensure brand consistency across all customer interactions, from marketing to customer support.

Crypto Landscape & Payment Operations:

• Stay updated on local cryptocurrency trends, regulations, and market conditions to ensure compliant and efficient payment operations.
• Collaborate with payment providers and internal teams to optimize cryptocurrency transactions, focusing on reliability and security.
• Adjust strategies and operations as needed in response to regulatory changes.

Team Leadership & Management:

• Recruit, lead, and manage a local team to achieve business objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction, fostering high performance and alignment with company goals.

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Oversee the financial performance of the Japanese market, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Manage the market’s profit and loss (P&L), ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Japanese market, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Utilize data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and optimize business performance in Japan.

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong background in iGaming, particularly in crypto casino and sports betting. They should possess a deep understanding of the Japanese market and have proven expertise in market strategy development, product localization, and targeted marketing.
